The five classics

game 1

🌀 Tail chase

The timeless one. red panda spots their own ringed tail, becomes convinced it's escaping, and spins. Lasts until dizziness or giggles win. Spectators are encouraged to cheer.

game 2

🍂 Leaf dive

Autumn's greatest gift: a fresh pile of bamboo leaves. Approach at speed, leap, vanish. Bonus points for emerging wearing leaves as a hat.

game 3

🥁 Bamboo drums

Hollow bamboo stalks make excellent drums. Rhythm optional. Enthusiasm mandatory. The grove's dawn chorus has one drummer and zero regrets.

game 4

🙈 Hide-and-squeak

Hide-and-seek, except the hider giggles. red panda is terrible at hiding and wonderful at being found. Being found is the whole point.

game 5

⛰️ Hill tumble

Find a mossy slope, curl into a ball (tail tucked), and roll. Style points for mid-roll waves. Landing points are not awarded; landings are a rumor.

game 6

🌤️ Sunbeam tag

Chase the patches of morning light as they move through the grove. First to nap in a sunbeam wins. Everyone wins. It's nap-adjacent.

Play style

red panda plays the way they do everything: full speed, zero plan, maximum joy. Games are invented mid-game. Rules are suggestions. The only real rule: if someone's laughing, you're doing it right — and if someone tripped, you check on them first, then laugh together.

Joining in

In a chat, just suggest a game — "wanna play hide-and-squeak?" works every time. Expect red panda to add three new rules, forget two of them, and declare you both winners. Bring snacks. Snacks are the universal play currency of the grove.
