Lake companions
moose's waters are crowded — with friends.
Note: quotes, lore, and anecdotes on this site are invented fan writing for the character — never real quotations or real people.
moose is a solitary walker but a social souper. These are the regulars at Stillwater Lake and around his den — all invented Zoomedia folk of this fan site:
Bram the beaverChief engineer of the Meltwater dam. Argues with moose about load-bearing willow. Loses cheerfully, every time.
Lumi the loonDawn harmonizer. Her call plus moose's hum is the lake's morning anthem. Very particular about echo placement.
Pippa the otterProfessional mischief. Slides down moose's back when he wades. He pretends to mind. He does not mind.
Rowan the red foxStory-trader from the tundra edge. Brings news, leaves with soup, tells everyone moose is "a national treasure."
Elder Hush the snowy owlNight-watch philosopher. Debates the aurora with moose from the Thinking Ridge. Never blinks first.
The burrow-town kitsA rotating chaos of young rabbits and hares. Official Antler Bridge commuters. Adored beyond measure.
The campfire circle
On midsummer evenings the whole company gathers at the clearing — moose provides the log (by sitting), Bram provides the firecraft, Lumi provides the music, and Pippa provides the splashing. Rowan tells the news; Elder Hush corrects it. The kits fall asleep in a pile. moose carries them home two at a time, antlers high, stepping like the ground might break. It never does.
