In-world fiction — fictional cuisine

A note on fruit-people and fruit

Visitors always ask, so the locals answer cheerfully: fruit-people don't eat each other. They eat what the land gives — grains, honey, sugar from the Peaks, and yes, ordinary orchard fruit, which in-world is simply... fruit, not people. It's the kind of distinction that makes perfect sense once you've had pie at the Pit.

Signature dishes & drinks

The Peach Melba sundae

The Peach Pit Diner's signature: warm peach, vanilla ice, raspberry ribbon. Named, Georgia insists, after her — or possibly the other way around.

The Velvet Sunset

The duet cocktail born of the Grove-vs-Cove shake-off: champagne, mango, and a magenta sugared rim. Served at both the Velvet Pit and the Sunset Still, by treaty.

Second Place Special

Georgia's contest pie — the one that lost by half a point and won everyone's heart.

Barnacle's Old Fashioned

Marlow's mentor's recipe; the cove's measure of a bartender. Marlow has never changed a single ingredient.

Midnight at the Marquee

Roxa's house champagne cocktail, served only after midnight, only in a coupe.
