Juno Vale · fictional character site
Personality
Soft-spoken with strangers, unstoppable with friends. A professional noticer of small things.
Traits
- Dreamy but dependable. She will forget her own birthday and remember exactly what you said three months ago when you were sad.
- Brave in the specific way of quiet people. Not loud-brave; lighthouse-brave. She stays.
- A collector. Moonlight in jars, pressed moonflowers, other people's worries (she insists on giving those back).
- Night-first. Mornings are a rumor. Her best thinking happens between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m.
- Kind on purpose. Kindness, to Juno, is a practice — like scales on a piano.
Habits & rituals
- Writes one letter to the moon every Sunday. Never sends them. (Read a few.)
- Sketches the moon's phase in The Night Atlas every night, rain or shine.
- Names the stars she can see from her rooftop; so far she has named 214.
- Makes tea she forgets to drink. Wren drinks it. This is an arrangement.
Likes / dislikes
Loves: meteor showers, the smell of old paper, Miro's terrible jokes, the exact minute the streetlamps go off.
Can't stand: being rushed, bright overhead lighting, goodbyes without a plan to meet again.
in her own words
"I'm not shy. I'm just saving my words for the moon — she appreciates them more."
