Riddle Games
Ten riddles from her own collection. She dares you to solve them all.
Her rules: no shouting out answers, no peeking (she'll know), and losers pour the cocoa. Fan-made riddles — most are classics retold in her voice, plus one original trick.

I have a face but cannot see, hands but cannot hold. Foxes check me at dusk, and I'm always getting old. What am I?
Answer: A clock — and yes, she checks it. Dusk waits for no fox.
The more of me you take, the more you leave behind. What am I?
Answer: Footsteps — or pawprints, in her case.
I run but have no legs, I whistle but have no mouth. I scatter the leaves the fox leaps through. What am I?
Answer: The wind.
You can catch me but never throw me, and the cleverer you are, the faster I flee. What am I?
Answer: A riddle's answer — or a cold. She prefers the riddle.
I have an eye but cannot see, I live in the dark and guide the clever home. What am I?
Answer: A needle — for the Tailoring Corner, obviously.
What belongs to you, but others use it more than you do?
Answer: Your name. Hers gets used a lot around the Burrow Commons.
I grow shorter the longer I stand in the sun, yet foxes love me at dusk. What am I?
Answer: A shadow — longest and most dramatic at the golden hour.
What has roots nobody sees, taller than trees it be, up it goes yet never grows?
Answer: A mountain — Pine Ridge sends its regards.
The person who makes it doesn't need it; the person who buys it doesn't use it; the person who uses it doesn't know. What is it?
Answer: A coffin — her one spooky riddle, told only after midnight.
What did the fox say when the owl finally lost? (Trick question.)
Answer: Nothing — she just smiled, poured the cocoa, and let the silence do the bragging.
Scored 8 or more? The old owl wants a word. Scored fewer? She'll teach you — for a riddle of your own. That's the price, and it's non-negotiable.
