Forest Friends
Every clever fox needs a crew — hers, introduced.
Zoomedia's Whisperwood is full of somebodies. These four are her somebodies — invented fan-made characters built to orbit one sly fox.
Bramble the Hedgehog
Grumbly, loyal, and the only creature alive who can out-stubborn the fox. Keeper of the Berry Thicket treaty and maker of legendary chestnuts. Secretly sentimental; deny everything.
Professor Hoot the Owl
Forty years undefeated at riddles — until one dawn (see the Night of the Owl's Riddle). Now her mentor, rival, and mushroom-identification consultant. Polishes his spectacles when he's about to win.
Pip the Frog
Conductor of the Moonlit Mere choir and the forest's most enthusiastic audience. Laughs at all her stories, including the ones that aren't funny yet. Essential personnel.
Sable the Raccoon
Her partner in (harmless) crime — the paws behind the operation while she's the brains. Reformed lock-picker, current Pantry of Curiosities co-curator. Owes the fox three favors; the fox has forgotten none of them.
